Whatever
your tastes, you are sure to find something that will please your
palate for breakfast. Our signature Sleeping Bear French Toast is
made with Texas toast and baked in the oven. It is accompanied by
either Nueske's bacon or Pleva's Cherry Pecan Sausage. (Check their website at
www.plevasmeats.com.)
Another day may see an
Onion-Cheese Frittata or Red Pepper-Herbed Cheese Omelet.
The menu changes daily to keep guests and chef interested. Susan
has created a number of juice blends to keep you guessing. In-season
fruit or other fruit accompaniment graces the plate each day for
a balanced meal. Homemade granola or cereal with yogurt or milk
is always available. As the seasons change, so will the menu to
ensure that the freshest quality is maintained.
Afternoon treats are available as the colder months take over and
guests spend more time indoors. Chocolate Coma Cookies by Diane
Mott Davidson are a favorite. There are special tea blends available
for the tea connoisseurs that visit. The innkeepers can also make
espresso or cappuccino from our own special blend of coffee.
Evening meals for guests can be arranged in advance during the fall
and winter months.
When guests are asked what they would like to share with future
guests, after the gourmet breakfasts and hospitality, is the GREAT
LOCATION!!!! Since we are close to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National
Lakeshore, Glen Haven and Glen Arbor, we are a perfect base for
your Leelanau Peninsula vacation. Leland, Suttons Bay and Interlochen,
to mention a few, are also within a thirty minute drive.
Throughout the house, there are antiques which are available for
purchase. Ask to see the catalog.
Other opportunities to take back a little bit of Sleeping Bear Bed
& Breakfast memories are packages of our special blend coffee,
shirts, hats or hooded sweatshirts with our logo. We also offer
our pottery with our logo and soaps and candles from Beedazzled,
as featured thorughout .
